CHE Students Learn About Teamwork from Special Guests
Wednesday, March 21, 2018 -
When Chestnut Hill Elementary first-graders recently hosted a school-wide assembly about teamwork, they explained – through words and song - that the term means working together while also being kind and respectful.
But there is no better way to explain teamwork than by showing it in action, so the CHE first-graders invited members of the Liverpool High School Boys Varsity Basketball Team and Coach Ryan Blackwell to their assembly to share their thoughts on why teamwork is important and how it has helped them this season (which culminated a few days later in a New York State championship). Another famous symbol of teamwork - Syracuse University mascot Otto the Orange - also stopped by to celebrate with the school’s students and helped cheer on CHE teachers when the LHS basketball players challenged them to a game of Knock Out.
