ELA State Testing Update
Wednesday, April 11, 2018 -
Dear Liverpool Parents and Guardians,
Liverpool Central School District students in grades 3-8 were scheduled to begin the New York State English Language Arts (ELA) test today (April 11). This morning, our district was notified by the New York State Education Department that Questar, the platform used to administer the state tests electronically (computer based), had experienced a system-wide issue with its server. In addition, our district contracts with our local BOCES for internet service and BOCES was experiencing internet connectivity issues.
As a district we determined, in the best interest of our students, to delay administration of the test until tomorrow. Therefore, Session 1 will take place on Thursday, April 12, and Session 2 will take place on Friday, April 13.
At Chestnut Hill Middle, the vast majority of students were able to start Session 1 today as scheduled. CHM is an early arrival school and was able to start their tests before the issues developed. Therefore, CHM will start Session 2 testing on Thursday, April 12. CHM, however, did have a few students who were not able to start testing today due to other issues. Those students will make up Session 1 on Friday, April 13.
