Monday, February 27, 2017 -

The Liverpool High School Junior Varsity, Varsity and Cadet Winter Guards will host the annual “Sights and Sounds of Winter” home show on Saturday, March 4, in the Liverpool High School Gymnasium. Doors open at 2:30 p.m., with performances beginning at 3 p.m.

Twenty-six guards from across New York State will compete, and the LHS Percussion Ensemble will perform an exhibition. The “Sights and Sounds of Winter” is being held in association with the Mid-York Color Guard Circuit.

Tickets cost $6 for general admission, $5 for seniors and children ages 5 to 12, and free for children under 5 years old.

In addition to the show, the LHS Marching Band Boosters are partnering with The St. Patrick Hunger Project and will be collecting non-perishable food items and monetary donations during the event. These donations will be used to support local hunger-related food agencies in meeting the needs of the communities they serve. The St. Patrick Hunger Project, part of the Syracuse St. Patrick’s Parade, is a 501(c)3 and all donations are 100 percent tax deductible.
