The New York State Association for Foreign Language Teachers (NYSAFLT) has honored Liverpool Middle eighth-grader Kayleigh Przytula with its Philip A. Fulvi Love of Language Award for the association’s Central Region.
Przytula, who was nominated by LMS Spanish teacher Barbara Patterson, was honored for her outstanding academic performance and enthusiasm for learning a language other than English. She was presented with a certificate and a cash prize.
NYSAFLT is made up of five regions across New York State, and the Central Region is comprised of 16 Central New York counties (including Onondaga). Each year, the organization honors one eighth-grader from each region with the Philip A. Fulvi Love of Language Award.
