Parent University to Host Kindergarten 101 Workshop
Tuesday, August 27, 2019 -
The Liverpool Central School District is a large and dynamic school district, and it can be difficult for parents to learn about the different academic and extracurricular opportunities available.
To help, the district’s Parent University will host a Kindergarten 101 Workshop on Thursday, August 29, from 7 to 8 p.m. in the District Office Board Room (195 Blackberry Road).
This workshop is for parents with children entering kindergarten this year.
It is not uncommon for children heading to kindergarten to have a lot of questions about what to expect: How will they make friends? What will the teacher be like? What will happen during the school day? Will they be able to find the bathroom?
The district’s resident experts will share information and tips that will help your child’s transition to kindergarten be as smooth as possible. To register for this Parent University Workshop visit your elementary school's Peachjar site (located under the "Parents" heading on your school's Web site).
The goal of district’s Parent University is to provide a platform that will strengthen the home/school connection by increasing awareness of the programs the District has to offer, as well as some of the challenges and opportunities we are facing in public education.
