State Ed Announces No CBT Testing on Wednesday
Tuesday, April 2, 2019 -
ADDITIONAL UPDATE REGARDING TESTING: The New York State Education Department has announced that due to today’s computer-based testing (CBT) technical difficulties, tomorrow (April 3) has been designated a CBT non-testing, Administrative Day. This means that there will be no CBT testing tomorrow (this includes day two of testing for grades 3-6 as well as the first day of testing for students in grades 7 and 8).
In its message to districts, NYSED said it will use this time to work with Questar, the platform that administers CBT testing for the State Education Department, to ensure the system will operate smoothly when CBT resumes. In addition, NYSED will work with schools to provide guidance on how to resolve outstanding issues with today’s CBT administration. Questar has dispatched additional staff, around the state, to provide technical assistance to schools.
We will resume testing on Thursday, April 4, unless NYSED advises otherwise.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
