EDUCATIONAL CREDIT - TUITION REIMBURSEMENT

United Liverpool Faculty Association (ULFA)

Approval process for additional educational credit

To be eligible a course must be:

  • a graduate course or an acceptable course as part of a graduate degree program (differentiated from a graduate "level" course).
  • from an accredited college/university. To verify that the educational institution is accredited, view the Accreditation List 2017 in Related Files at the bottom of this page.
  • related to the teacher's or Regular Substitute Teacher's regular assignment or possible assignment, part of a new certification area or part of a program to earn administrative certification.
  • approved in advance by the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources. To obtain approval, submit a completed Prior-Approval Grad Study/Course Form in Frontline (My Learning Plan) at least 14 days prior to the course start date. 

Upon completion of the course

  • Submit an official transcript of the course to Barbara Fischetti in Human Resources.

These guidelines are per the Collective Bargaining Agreement by and between the Superintendent of Schools Liverpool Central School District and United Liverpool Faculty Association.

Liverpool Administrators Association (LAA)

Approval process for graduate study

To be eligible a course must be:

  • to improve their professional value to the District as an Administrator.
  • approved in advance by the Superintendent. To obtain approval, submit a completed Prior-Approval Grad Study/Course Form in Frontline (My Learning Plan) at least 14 days prior to the course start date. 

Upon completion of the course

  • Submit an official transcript of the course to Barbara Fischetti in Human Resources.
  • Submit an Expense Reimbursement Form with proper receipts to Barbara Fischetti in Human Resources.

These guidelines are per the Collective Bargaining Agreement by and between the Superintendent of Schools Liverpool Central School District and Liverpool Administrators Association.

Liverpool Association of Middle Managers (LAMM)

Approval process for academic study

To be eligible a course must be:

  • at a college or technical institute.
  • to improve their professional value to the District as a Manager.
  • approved in advance by the Superintendent. To obtain approval, submit a completed Prior-Approval Grad Study/Course Form in Frontline (My Learning Plan) at least 14 days prior to the course start date. 

Upon completion of the course

  • Submit an official transcript of the course to Barbara Fischetti in Human Resources.
  • Submit an Expense Reimbursement Form with proper receipts to Barbara Fischetti in Human Resources.

These guidelines are per the Collective Bargaining Agreement by and between the Superintendent of Schools Liverpool Central School District and United Liverpool Association of Middle Managers.

Office Personnel Association of Liverpool Schools (OPALS)

Approval process for tuition reimbursement

To be eligible an employee must have:

  • more than one year of regular full-time employment.
  • To be eligible a course must be:
  • at a recognized agency or institution competent to offer appropriate instruction.
  • must be functionally related to a necessary aspect of the Employee's duties.
  • approved in advance by the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources. To obtain approval, submit a completed Prior-Approval Grad Study/Course Form in Frontline (My Learning Plan) at least 14 days prior to the course start date. 

Upon completion of the course

  • Submit an official transcript of the course to Barbara Fischetti in Human Resources.
  • Submit an Expense Reimbursement Form with proper receipts to Barbara Fischetti in Human Resources.

Approval process for tuition reimbursement

To be eligible a course must be:

  • at a recognized agency or institution competent to offer appropriate instruction.
  • must be related to a necessary aspect of the Employee's duties.
  • approved in advance by the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources. To obtain approval, submit a completed Course Approval Form to Barbara Fischetti in Human Resources at least 14 days prior to the course start date. 

Upon completion of the course

  • Submit an official transcript of the course to Barbara Fischetti in Human Resources.
  • Submit an Expense Reimbursement Form with proper receipts to Barbara Fischetti in Human Resources.

Teaching Assistants

Approval process for tuition reimbursement

To be eligible an employee must have:

  • one year or more of regular employment.
  • To be eligible a course must be:
  • at a recognized agency or institution competent to offer appropriate instruction.
  • must be functionally related to a Teaching Assistant's duties.
  • approved in advance by the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources. To obtain approval, submit a completed Course Approval Form to Barbara Fischetti in Human Resources at least 14 days prior to the course start date. 

Upon completion of the course

  • Submit an official transcript of the course to Barbara Fischetti in Human Resources.
  • Submit an Expense Reimbursement Form with proper receipts to Barbara Fischetti in Human Resources.
