The Liverpool Central School District Board of Education, in recognition of outstanding or long-standing commitment, contributions, interest, dedication or achievement hereby creates an award, henceforth to be known as the Liverpool Excelsior Award for Achievement.
LEAA Award Winners:
2012 - James Funiciello 2011 - Award Not Given 2010 - Jim Stoddard 2009 - Norm Andrzejewski 2008 - Sharon Fulmer 2007 - John Cerrone 2006 - Liverpool Optimist Club 2005 - American Legion Post 188 & Liverpool-Clay Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 951
The award will be presented to individuals or organizations that:
- Have made a significant and positive difference in the lives of the citizens, residents or students of the school district, the village of Liverpool, the towns of Clay or Salina, or the County of Onondaga (Our Community); or
- Have brought honor or positive public recognition to Our Community; or
- Have made significant contributions to, or enriched the quality of life, vitality, health, welfare, success or diversity of Our Community; or
- Are otherwise determined to be worthy of such an award.
Award recipients will be considered, selected and awarded at the sole discretion of the Board of Education. Award recipients are to be objectively judged against the aforementioned award criteria and selected without regard to the recipient’s residence or whether the recipient is a graduate of the school district. Nomination forms are to be submitted each year by June 30.
