Alumni Art Exhibit Deadline Extended

To celebrate the upcoming reopening of the Liverpool High School fine arts wing, the school’s Art Department will host an Alumni Art Exhibit.

LHS alumni interested in participating in the art exhibit are asked to submit new art created after high school graduation. The art department will accept 2D or 3D work, and each participant can submit up to two pieces. Submissions will be on display for approximately one month.  

Art must be delivered to the LHS Main Office by 2:30 p.m. on January 7. This will allow alumni home for the December holidays to participate in the exhibit.

In addition to their submitted work, alumni are asked to e-mail the following information to LHS art teacher Nina Spano at nspano@liverpool.k12.ny.us:

• Artist’s Name
• Email Address
• Year of Graduation
• Title of Art
• Size of Art Piece(s)
• Media Used
• Artist’s Statement (write a few sentences about life after high school and how art fits into life now)

The LHS Art Department has two tentative time frames for the art exhibit depending on auditorium construction. The tentative date for a reception and ribbon cutting is Monday, December 20. If construction is behind schedule, participants will be notified as soon as possible and the exhibit will be rescheduled to mid-January.
