Liverpool CSD Board Candidate Petitions Reopen

Each year, members of the Liverpool Central School District community have the opportunity to become candidates for the Board of Education. Candidates may be nominated by petition only.

At the petition deadline for this year’s board candidates, eight individuals were vying for four terms on the board.

Late last week, the district was informed that one of the candidates was no longer able to continue with their candidacy. By law, the Liverpool CSD must now reopen the petition process to see if any other candidates are interested in running for the Board of Education.

Community members interested in being added to the May 17 ballot must file petitions with the Office of the Deputy Superintendent, in Room 1 of the District Office, 195 Blackberry Road, no later than 5 p.m. on Tuesday, May 10.

Petition forms to nominate candidates for election to the Board of Education are available in the Office of the Deputy Superintendent, located in Room 1 of the District Office. Each nominating petition must state the name and residence of the candidate. Additional candidate requirements will be included in the board petition packet.
