All Liverpool Schools to Switch to Remote Learning

Dear Liverpool CSD Families and Staff,

As you may be aware, COVID-19 cases continue to rise in Onondaga County and across New York State. This increase has resulted in more and more of our Liverpool Central School District students and staff being placed in quarantine, which has made staffing our school buildings and conducting contract tracing a challenge across the district.

Out of an abundance of caution, the Liverpool CSD has made the decision to switch to remote learning for ALL LCSD SCHOOLS beginning tomorrow (Friday, December 18) and continuing through part of next week (Monday, December 21, to Wednesday, December 23)

We anticipate that schools will return to their hybrid learning plans after the Holiday Recess (students are scheduled to return to school on Monday, January 4).

The Transportation Department will still provide transportation for our students who attend private and parochial schools, as well as for our special education students who attend programs outside the district (as long as those schools or programs do not switch to remote learning themselves).

In addition, the Food Service Department will provide hot meals for pick up from Friday, December 18, through Wednesday, December 23, between 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. at the following locations:

• Chestnut Hill Elementary
• Donlin Drive Elementary
• Elmcrest Elementary
• Liverpool Elementary
• Long Branch Elementary
• Nate Perry Elementary
• Soule Road Elementary
• Morgan Road Elementary

Meals also will be provided through our bus delivery system at the following locations:

• Candlelight Village
• Madison Square Village
• North Star Apartments

Exact locations within each complex with stop times will be published on the LCSD Web site or you contact the Food Service Department at 315-622-7170. 

In addition to the hot meal, a full breakfast will be provided for the next day's consumption. Any child 18 and under may have a meal even if they are not of school age or if they do not attend LCSD. Adults may pick up all meals for the household.
