Liverpool to Participate in Paige's Pajamarama Competition

Pajama Pants

It’s time once again for a friendly competition involving some of our biggest rivals!

On October 7, students at all Liverpool Central School District buildings will participate in Paige’s Pajamarama. The charity event, which allows students to wear their (school appropriate) pajamas when making a donation, benefits Paige's Butterfly Run, Inc., an organization which supports children with pediatric cancer at Upstate Golisano Children's Hospital.

In 2019, Cicero-North Syracuse High School students challenged Liverpool High School students to raise more money for Paige’s Pajamarama by creating a challenge video, which went viral. While the 2019 challenge was initially only for the high schools, involvement grew and the event expanded to all schools in both districts. In the end, the schools and districts split victories with Liverpool High School earning the most money for the cause but the North Syracuse Central School District raising the greatest amount overall.

In 2020 & 2021, West Genesee CSD joined North Syracuse CSD to form the Star Alliance while Fayetteville-Manlius CSD joined the Liverpool CSD to create the Warrior Alliance.

This year, two more districts – Baldwinsville and the East Syracuse Minoa (ESM) CSD are joining the Pajamarama competition. Baldwinsville will be part of the Star Alliance and ESM will be part of the Warrior Alliance.

Students are encouraged to bring their donations to school on October 7.

Online donations can also be made by visiting the Pajamarama Web site. Be sure to click on Liverpool Central School District when making your online donation in order for the money to go to the Warrior Alliance and help all of us help those with pediatric cancer!
