Annual Professional Performance Review

Non-tenured and tenured Liverpool Central School District teachers and staff members will complete their corresponding rubric annually by June 1 as per the observation cycle.

Each framework for growth in professional practices is meant to be a road map for novices as well as a guide for experienced professionals to promote, maintain and encourage instructional excellence that will increase student achievement. These rubrics can provide the structure for discussions and an opportunity for improvement of instruction.

These Reflective Rubrics are the basis of a conversation between the administrator and teacher/staff member, and if the teacher/staff member chooses, conversations between mentors and mentees.

Parents Can Request Teacher, Principal APPR Scores

New York State Education Law requires each classroom teacher and school principal to receive an annual professional performance review (APPR) that results in a composite effectiveness score and rating. All parents/guardians have the right to obtain the APPR quality ratings and composite effectiveness scores for their child’s current teacher(s) and principal(s) once they are available. To initiate this request, please contact your child’s principal in their corresponding school.
