Math

The Liverpool Central School District is constantly striving to achieve its mission of “Preparing our Students for Tomorrow…Today.”

Recently the district began using i-Ready to support students in grades 3-8 and help them meet grade level expectations in mathematics. Below, you will find information regarding how the district is using i-Ready Math in the classroom.

What is i-Ready?

i-Ready is an online program that will help the district assess a student’s individual needs and monitor their progress throughout the school year.

  • The i-Ready Diagnostic is an adaptive test that adjusts its questions to suit a student’s performance. Its purpose is not to give the student a score or grade but instead determine where they need the most support.
  • i-Ready Instruction provides students with lessons based on their individual skill level and needs, so they can learn at a pace that is just right for them. These lessons are fun and interactive, with games and characters to keep your child engaged.

How will i-Ready help my child?

i-Ready will help the district determine how it can best support students in meeting their learning goals and will provide lessons that fit their individual needs. Moreover, in addition to using the online program, each student will receive targeted small group instruction based on their individual needs in response to their instructional performance on i-Ready.

It is important to note that this program is in addition to the district's current grade level instruction, it is not replacing it. The district is excited about the academic potential this has for its students.
