  • Experience:
    • Previous experience in the sport at the high school or preferably the collegiate level.
    • At a minimum, three to five years of previous coaching experience in the sport at the collegiate or high school level.
    • Proven track record of developing and leading successful  programs.
  • Skills and Abilities:
    • Articulates a clear and inspiring vision for leading the program, showcasing innovative strategies and a thorough understanding of the competitive landscape.
    • Ability to communicate a deep knowledge of wrestling rules, strategies, and techniques to student-athletes, parents, school personnel, and relevant community stakeholders.
    • Exhibits a leadership style that is motivational, supportive, and able to cultivate a strong team culture. Provides examples of past leadership experiences and their outcomes.
    • Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with student-athletes, parents, school personnel, and relevant community stakeholders.
    • Has a well-defined philosophy on player development, including the local youth program, that emphasizes both athletic skill and personal growth for sustained success at the varsity level. Ability to provide specific examples of how this philosophy has been implemented successfully in the past.
    • Shows adaptability in the face of challenges and an ability to solve problems creatively and efficiently. Provides examples of overcoming obstacles in a coaching or athletic environment.
    • Exhibits a strong work ethic and excellent time management skills, balancing the demands of coaching, administration, and personal development. Provides examples of managing multiple responsibilities effectively.
    • Proven ability to assist student-athletes with the college recruiting process, including creating individualized plans for current players, communicating with college coaches, and understanding college recruiting rules and timelines. Shares past success stories of helping players achieve collegiate opportunities.
    • Demonstrates ability to lead a group of assistant coaches to develop sustained success at all levels of the program.
  • Responsibilities
    • Coaching and Development:
      • Plan, organize, and conduct practice sessions that develop players' skills, strategies, and physical conditioning.
      • Teach fundamental  techniques, strategies, and safety protocols.
      • Develop and implement strategies for competitions.
      • Provide individualized coaching and feedback to enhance each player's performance.
    • Team Management:
      • Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful team environment.
      • Mentor and guide student-athletes, promoting academic and personal growth.
      • Enforce team rules and policies to maintain discipline and integrity.
      • Manage team rosters, including player evaluations and selections.
      • Prepare the team for competition, including pre-match preparations and post-match reviews.
    • Communication and Administration:
      • Communicate effectively with players, parents, school administration, and other stakeholders.
      • Coordinate logistics for practices, matches/meets, and travel.
      • Maintain accurate records, including attendance, player statistics, and results.
      • Collaborate with athletic department staff on scheduling, budget management, and program needs.
    • Program Development:
      • Identify potential players for the program.
      • Develop and maintain relationships with local youth programs and middle schools.
      • Promote the  program within the school and the community.

Substitute Food Service Helpers

The Liverpool Central School District is accepting applications for Substitute School Food Service Helpers. Substitutes will work on the kitchen and serving side of the cafeteria.  Applicants must be available between 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Applicants also must have transportation to any of district schools.  Medical exam and TB testing is provided through the district. Substitute Custodians

The Liverpool Central School District is accepting applications for Substitute Custodians with a starting pay of  $19.63 an hour. Advancement opportunities available. Substitute School Bus Drivers & Attendants

The Liverpool Central School District is accepting applications for Substitute School Bus Drivers. Must be 21 years of age with a valid driver's license and clean driving record to serve as a school bus driver. Substitute School Bus Attendants must be at least 19 years old. Applicants must be available between 6 and 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Subject to a background check and free training provided.
