Liverpool CSD Grades 3-8 State Testing Schedule (does not include June Regents Exams)

The New York State Education Department continues to transition to computer-based testing (CBT) as part of its commitment to both meeting the needs of 21st century learners and improving test delivery, test integrity, scoring validity, and turn-around time on testing results. For the last four years, the Liverpool Central School District has administered these tests in the CBT format. Both students and teachers have found this format an adequate way to test students’ knowledge of the subjects tested.    

This spring, the Liverpool Central School District will again administer the New York State Grades 3-8 English Language Arts (ELA) and Mathematics operational tests via computer. Students will use district-provided Chromebooks for both tests. The Grade 8 Science Performance and Written Test will remain a paper-based test (PBT).

These tests provide educators important information about your child(ren). The tests measure the skills and standards that are being taught within a grade level. The information gained from these tests help educators adjust instruction, target learning interventions or acceleration for specific students, and identify gaps in our curriculum. Therefore, it is imperative that your child(ren) participate in this year’s New York State Grades 3-8 exams.
