Liverpool CSD Construction Report – August 14, 2023

Work continues on the Liverpool Central School District’s Education 2020 capital project, which was approved by voters in March 2022, and reauthorized in May 2023.

Currently site work is taking place at Long Branch Elementary and the Transportation Center, with a redesigned parking lot, driveway and sidewalks between the two properties.

While last week’s rain made work a bit difficult, the focus was on fine-tuning the sub-base for the new sidewalks and portions of the parking lot driveway. Contractors also were able to pour some concrete for a portion the TC bus drop-off area, as well as the driveway gutters around a portion of the circle at LBE. More concrete will be poured this week, with the hope of completing the students drop off area today.

A larger storm water structure was removed and replaced at the LBE driveway entrance. Next will be a check of the storm pipes to see if they need cleaning out.

This week also will include preparation work for the installation of a new light pole at LBE, as well as installation of two new overhead doors at Transportation.
