Work continues on the Liverpool Central School District’s Education 2020 capital project, which was approved by voters in March 2022, and reauthorized in May 2023.
Currently site work is taking place at Long Branch Elementary and the Transportation Center.
Last week, work continued on the sub-base for the Bus Drop-Off/Pick Up Driveway on the Transportation Center property, as well as a portion of the LBE Driveway.
Sidewalk concrete was poured around the building driveway and the majority of the interior gutters. Work also began on the sidewalk that connects LBE to the bus drop-off sidewalk. The area was dug out, along with a portion of the school driveway/loading dock.
New light pole bases along with concrete tubes and the electrical conduit were installed – two at LBE and one at the Transportation Center.
This week will include having the LBE driveway ready for paving, as well as continued work on the sidewalks and gutters. Paving also will begin at the Transportation Center. Contractors are still waiting for the new Transportation Center overhead doors to be delivered.
