Liverpool CSD Construction Report – August 28, 2023

Work continues on the Liverpool Central School District’s Education 2020 capital project, which was approved by voters in March 2022, and reauthorized in May 2023.

Currently site work is taking place at Long Branch Elementary and the Transportation Center.

Last week, workers focused on fine-tuning the sub-base for the TC Bus Drop-Off/Pick-Up Driveway as well as portions of the LBE Driveway, graded the lawns where they meet the driveway and sidewalks, and finished boxing out the last couple of areas in preparation for paving.

The last of the concrete was poured (some small sections of connecting sidewalks and one last piece of gutter) and the contractors started with the base product on the heavy-duty blacktop at the TC Bus Drop-Off area (adjacent to the LBE building) and at the Loading Dock area.

On Friday the Paving Team started putting down the top layer of the blacktop at the Bus Drop-Off area.

This week, paving will take place on LBE Driveway Circle. The new pavement should be painted and striped by the weekend. The new light pole bases (two at LBE and one at TC) concrete tubes (and the electrical conduit) were poured this week.

Next week, the light poles and electrical connections will be installed, and the overhead doors at TC will be installed along with the final pieces of metal trim.
