Liverpool to Once Again Participate in Paige's Pajamarama Competition

Pajama Pants

It’s time once again for a friendly competition involving some of our biggest rivals!

On October 6, students and staff in the Liverpool Central School District will participate in Paige’s Pajamarama. The charity event, which allows students and staff to wear their (school appropriate) pajamas when making a donation, benefits Paige's Butterfly Run, Inc., an organization which supports children with pediatric cancer at Upstate Golisano Children's Hospital.

The annual event began in 2019, when Cicero-North Syracuse High School students challenged Liverpool High School students to see who could raise more money for Paige’s Pajamarama. Since then, the event has grown to include schools throughout each district, as well as neighboring school districts West Genesee CSD, Fayetteville-Manlius CSD, Baldwinsville CSD and East Syracuse Minoa CSD.

This year, two more districts – Jordan Elbridge and Phoenix CSD are joining the Pajamarama competition.

Jennifer Huntley, Director of Development for Paige's Butterfly Run Inc. spoke about the addition saying, "We are thrilled to have additional schools joining in this years' friendly battle. Not only do these Paige's Pajamaramas raise critical funding to help pediatric cancer patients and their families in our community, they help bring awareness to the need for our mission."

Students and staff are encouraged to bring their donations to school on October 6.

Online donations can also be made by visiting the Pajamarama Web site. Donation given through this link will go toward the Warrior Alliance total in an attempt to be the “coziest” supporter of pediatric cancer awareness.
