Twenty-seven Liverpool High School students and three Soule Road Middle students recently were honored as part of the 2026 CNY Scholastic Art Awards program. The annual competition recognizes the achievements of hundreds of students throughout 14 Central New York counties.
In all, the students earned 14 Gold Key Awards, 8 Silver Key Awards, and 24 Honorable Mentions. Earning honors were:

In addition, Liverpool High School Art Teacher Jennifer Matott was presented with the Scholastic Art Teacher Recognition Award, honoring her for her dedication to the Scholastic Art Program and the inspiration she gives to all those affected by her teaching.
More than 5,000 pieces were submitted for consideration during this year’s Scholastic Art Awards. About 1,487 were selected for display through the end of February at the Whitney Applied Technology Center at Onondaga Community College.
