As the school year comes to a close, the Liverpool Central School District encourages all students to make reading part of their summer routine. Reading during the summer helps students maintain and strengthen the literacy skills they developed throughout the school year while fostering creativity, curiosity and a lifelong love of learning.
Whether students choose novels, graphic novels, magazines, e-books or audiobooks, spending time reading each day can help prepare them for a successful start to the new school year. Families also are encouraged to visit the Liverpool Public Library and explore the many reading programs and resources available throughout the summer.
The district wishes all students and families a safe, enjoyable and book-filled summer and looks forward to welcoming everyone back in September.
