Liverpool CSD Seeks Bids for Purchase of Nate Perry Elementary

The Liverpool Central School District continues to make progress with its plans for the future.

As part of the Education 2020 initiative, the district is reconfiguring grade levels and school buildings in an effort to operate the district more efficiently and maximize money spent on opportunities for students.

With these changes, the Liverpool CSD will no longer utilize some district property. As a result, the district currently is accepting bids for the purchase of Nate Perry Elementary.

The purchase will include the land situated at 7053 Buckley Road, the building, and the fixtures, equipment and other personal property attached to the premises.

Nate Perry Elementary was built in 1957 and is a well-maintained facility. The building has a gross square footage of 53,888. The site area is 26.84 acres or 1,169,150 square feet.

On October 7, the Liverpool Central School District posted a Request for Bids for the purchase of Nate Perry. Bids will be open for submissions until November 30, at 2 p.m. EST. Late proposals will not be accepted. There will be a public opening and reading of the bids received shortly after the submission deadline at the District Office Board Room (195 Blackberry Road, Liverpool).

While the district is accepting bids for Nate Perry at this time, there will be no transfer of property to a new owner until after the completion of the 2021-2022 school year.

Bids can be submitted electronically through BidNet. Bidders are encouraged to create an account if they are not already a registered vendor. A free “search only” account can be established in the BidNet-Empire State Purchasing Group. It is not necessary to purchase a paid subscription to obtain the bid document and subsequent addendum/addenda.

Bidders who need assistance with submitting bids should contact LCSD School Purchasing Officer John Flynn at 315-622-7112.

Stage One of the Education 2020 initiative was implemented this fall when the incoming Liverpool High School freshman class was relocated to the LHS main building. The district continues to finalize the restructuring process of the remaining district buildings.

Stage Two will take place in the Fall 2022 when the district implements a quadrant model (K-2, 3-5, 6-8 buildings) and converts the former LHS Annex into a fourth middle school.

The district anticipates hosting four Education 2020 informational events for families in mid- to late-spring 2022.
