Department Presentations Q&A
Throughout the year, the Liverpool Central School District Board of Education is provided department updates during board meetings. These updates provide the board with information about goals and accomplishments, statistical data, opportunities and suggestions within the department.
This page will provide links to the department updates presented at board meetings, as well as questions posed by the Board of Education (and the department's answers).

Question: How are the elementary schools tracking students individually to identify strategies that are working to improve outcomes, barriers to success, and individual needs?
Answer: We are transitioning from Google Documents and Schooltool for tracking effective interventions to the use of Panorama. Panorama allows schools to input interventions, it houses all the data (behavior, attendance, grades) and it updates with Schooltool. Schools are working with their leadership teams to develop their use of it more and move away from anecdotal notes and Google forms of the past.
Question: BIMAS: How are parents being engaged/involved in intervention/updates for students identified as High Risk and Concern (Red/Yellow)?
Answer: Schools are reaching out to families regarding interventions based on BIMAS data. If there is an urgent concern the support staff meets with the student and the parents are notified immediately. Resources are provided to families as well.
Question: For high-risk students that are identified as connected to a resource outside of school, is there a tracking system ensuring there is communication with this resource (if consent given), and/or knowing if that service stops, transportation issues, etc?
Answer: Schools document this type of communication in SchoolTool. Many have just kept their notes on these communications. Similarly to Panorama, we are developing our use of the notes in SchoolTool so that all stakeholders can access the appropriate information.
