LCSD Announces Graduation Ceremonies

With the Onondaga County Health Department providing guidance this week to school districts regarding graduation ceremonies, the Liverpool Central School District will be hosting two commencement eventsClass of 2020 graphic with graduation cap. for the Liverpool High School Class of 2020.

On Friday, June 19, 2020, at 6:00 p.m., a virtual Liverpool High School Commencement Ceremony will be broadcast by CNY Central on the CW6 and the CNY Central website. The virtual commencement ceremony will consist of the traditional speeches and performances found in a typical Liverpool High School Commencement Ceremony, but will be broadcast for graduates and their family members to view at home.

On Saturday, June 20, 2020, starting at 10:00 a.m., a drive through Liverpool High School Diploma Ceremony will take place on the Liverpool High School campus. Following guidelines provided by Onondaga County Health Department, graduates and their family members will drive up to a stage at Liverpool High School at designated times. Graduates, dressed in their graduation caps and gowns, will have their name announced, walk the commencement stage, and will receive their diploma from school officials. More specific times, guidelines, and information will be provided to our graduates and their families in the coming days about this ceremony.

While a virtual commencement and a drive through diploma ceremony is not the traditional commencement ceremony that the Class of 2020 deserves, we feel fortunate to have an opportunity to provide our graduates with their diplomas in person, on our campus. We are proud of our graduates and look forward to celebrating the Class of 2020. We are Warrior Strong!
